WWE SummerSlam 2023: Date, Divisions, Wrestlers, and Match Order
WWE is set to host SummerSlam on August 5 in Detroit, marking its most significant event of the year.
As always, there is great anticipation surrounding the event's line-up, where we'll witness Batista taking on Roman Reigns.
With just over two days to go, WWE has yet to officially announce a match from the line-up.
Here's a look at the matches that the WWE Universe will have the pleasure of witnessing at the Ford Field.
Cody Rhodes vs Brock Lesnar: Rhodes and Lesnar are tied at one win each in their series, with Rhodes securing victory in their first encounter at Backlash, and Lesnar finding redemption at Night of Champions.
Lesnar returned to the scene the night after Money in the Bank to reignite his rivalry with Rhodes. The trilogy was officially set in motion on July 17 episode of Raw.
World Heavyweight Championship
Seth Rollins (c) vs Finn Balor: Rollins has had the upper hand against Balor at every turn, intensifying the latter's desire for revenge.
Balor defeated Rollins to become the inaugural Universal Champion in 2016, but immediately had to vacate the title due to an injury sustained during the match.
Balor was determined to settle the score with Rollins, who defeated the former in their title match at Money in the Bank.
WWE has yet to officially announce any other matches for SummerSlam.
