On the 30th of January 2012 Cannibal Corpse member George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher confirmed to Metal Injection magazine that he, Lucas, and Adam Dutkiewicz of the group Killswitch Engage were forming a side project that is expected to be released by Metal Blade Records. In 2016 the band announced their name as Serpentine Dominion .
