Adam Sandler Debuts His New Quarantine Song During Appearance On The Tonight Show At Home

Adam Sandler appeared on Thursday’s at-home edition of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. And, in the spirit of his famous Hanukkah Song, the 53-year-old comedian unveiled his latest anthem, Quarantine Song, which praises those on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Uncut Gems star appeared from his California home via video chat to practice social distancing, and he revealed that his touring partner Dan Bulla gave him the new coronavirus-inspired song.

With his electric guitar, the Saturday Night Live alum serenaded Fallon and his viewers with lyrics about doctors bringing us into the world as babies and doctors taking good care of your grandma. He added that Nurses slap you around until they find a good vein, they wear Crocs, and they tell you the truth.

Sandler’s praise for nurses continued, as he explained that they give you “ice packs and medication” while your doctor “smokes on the roof.”

The comedian shares two daughters – Sunny Madeline, 11, and Sadie Madison, 13 – with his wife Jackie. And, he joked in the song that he was getting tired of being around them all of the time and having to homeschool his kids.

“Doctors and nurses will save us from this mess if we get them the supplies that they need — and I hope they save us soon because I’m really, really sick of my family,” sang Sandler, while wearing sunglasses so fans couldn’t see him peeking at his notes.

“I’m teaching math to my kids, and that can’t be good for America,” sang Sandler.

Sandler also brought up the need for supplies, singing that we have to build more ventilators and make more masks. He pleaded for it to happen now, and asked everyone to come together.

Other lyrics included advice about staying home as much as you can, washing your hands, and making “this damn thing go away.” He finished up the song by crooning how much we love doctors and nurses because they are saving lives every day. He also asked for a cure because he really misses “hugging my mailman.”

During the song, Sandler also asked for God to bless the doctors in the countries who have been hardest hit by the coronavirus, including Italy, Spain, and China.
